My Film Job

You now to be honest, I have given this thought for some time. I would really enjoy being a casting director. They are in charge of picking good actors. Without the right actors, the film wouldn't be as efficient. Sometimes the actors make the movie concept powerful. It is also a role of leadership, which is why i would like this job.

My Name is John Merrick...

Dear Diary,
Today i was abused. The Night Porter came into my room and began ti hurt me. I felt completely violated. He brought people into my room and and they began to laugh and judge me. It was like someone had ripped me out of the comfort of this hospital and threw me back into he freak show. I couldn't believe it was actually happening until the porter showed me a mirror. I could see myself, and it suddenly hit me. I felt all of my emotions come to me and I began to cry. everything happened so fast, but i felt like a rag doll being pushed and forced to do things. They even poured alcohol into my mouth and when i thought it was over, i saw Bytes stay. I cant describe what he did, but it was horrendous. I will never forget this...

Welcome to my Nightmare.....Bwahahahaha

My biggest nightmare has to be being inadequate. As an athlete, I train hard everyday to be able to compete at a high level during game time situations.  My dad has always told me that excellence can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and practice.  Practice for me is where the athlete is made.  Practice doesn’t make perfect; perfect practice makes perfect.  You have to apply yourself to do an activity over and over again, never straying too far from the perfect technique.  So when I hear the word fear, I can quickly relate it to inadequacy. When you practice hard and feel like giving in to your pain, you often try to self motivate reminding yourself that it will all pay off game time.  So for me to give every ounce of myself in practice and not be able to execute or do well in a game, it scares me. Sacrifices are meant to better your situation, so they cant be for not.  I feel like fear fuels me sometimes though, it drives me to work that much harder so I wont be inadequate.

Compassionate Science

A compassionate scientist is a person with a background in science that has a vision of changing the world. They want to better the world through their skills and knowledge they possess. The drive and commitment they need to have has to be of immense proportion. I don’t know what the requirements is to be a compassionate scientist, but what I do know is that I want to help better the world. Personally, I would like to be a pediatrician and help kids everywhere. If I have to travel around the world then so be it, I just want to make a difference in a child’s life. I feel like I have that drive because my family has taught me to strive to new heights and be better than the last. I know I can work hard to achieve a goal, which is what I’m prepared to do along with the skills I learn in school so I can help people.

The Future

In the future, around 3005, the technology will be amazingly advanced. I feel, as though there will be a major impact on education. Kids will be able to go to school from their phone. They could have a special attachment from their phone that will simulate a classroom in their heads. A whole day of instruction and lessons could be taught within a 30-minute period. They would be able to finish school a lot faster, and in turn, be able to become productive members of society. Who knows? They might even be engineers who further technology even more. I feel as though we ill have to save the earth with our technology. We are already living in a polluted world, filled with crimes, injustices, and criminals. I honestly feel that they only way for the world to be safe is to step up our law enforcement. We don’t need a great police force; all we need is a batman. On a serious note, I also believe there will be an increase in homosexuality, and they government is to blame because we are very over populated as it is so they feel like they need to take control and halt reproduction for some time.

Hardest i've ever laughed

One time laughed so hard that I started sweating.  That’s the kind of laugh where you are past the point of crying and your abs are on fire.  I started laughing because of a joke a comedian Kevin Hart was telling.  I have heard his jokes before but this one just broke me down and caused me to laugh hysterically for about 6 minutes.  He was telling his story about when he was in Nebraska doing a show and he pulled up to the side of the road to pee.  There he saw an ostrich for the first time in his life.  His friend then just threw a pen at the bird.  The bird turned and set both its feet on the ground.  Kevin then started getting scared so he told his friend to jump in the car and drive away. It was funny because he said that when he turned to his passenger mirror side on the road driving, he could see the ostrich running next to the car looking at him directly. And Kevin hart started crying and wanted his friend to apologize to the ostrich. The way he was explaining the whole thing was super hilarious. I haven’t laughed that hard since.

Modern Times

“Modern times” is by far one of the funniest movies I have seen. That’s pretty ironic because nowadays in order for a movie to make you laugh, they have to add all kinds of different situations and include lots of props. This film is just naturally funny. Charlie Chaplin is a genius, in all aspects.  Considering all the different types if things he does for the film, he still is able to make it funny.  It almost looks like he doesn’t even have to try.  The film is a combination of fun, but yet at the same time, despair and reality. It’s set in a time where people have almost nothing and are in anguish and sadness.  Chaplin could have easily let the film end in a sad way, but he chose not to. His characters left a terrible situation with a smile. I feel this is a testament to how genius the film is and also the type of man Chaplin is.

Bullying

In a perfect world, in a perfect time period, bullying wouldn’t be an issue, or one so close to home for that matter. Nowadays you don’t see the physical side of bullying,, it is more of a verbal ad cyber assault. Although schools have cracked down on bullying they can see, they can’t stop the verbal part. Walking down the halls of this school, you might hear some vulgar language being exchanged, but in this day in age. Most teens talk like that around friends so it is hard to know if they are being bullied or not. Cyber bullying is also a big problem with all the technology we have. I haven’t been a part of bullying in the cyber world. In the real world there is an incident that sticks out to me. When I was in middle school I had a friend who looked a little nerdy, he was small so people thought he was soft. One day we were playing kickball and the eight graders started to kick his ball around. They all laughed and didn’t stop. When he asked they started a verbal attack on him. I saw what was going on but I didn’t want to get involved. After some time it was still going on so I stepped up and defended him.  I took the ball and gave it to him. The other guy just laughed and started calling me names. I didn’t let it get to me though because I honestly don’t care what he had to say. Bullies hurt people, not just physically but mentally. If you aren’t strong, then it will hurt a lot.

My Favorite Film

My favorite movie of all time has to be “Coach Carter”. I mean for me to be an athlete, it is easy to relate to since it is a basketball film. It’s a film that demonstrates the struggles of athletes in schools that aren’t rich. I try to always give one hundred percent in everything I do, whether it is practice or in all my class assignments. Not everything is given to you; sometimes they have to be earned. Basketball is a privilege, not a right. It is a game, not life or death. This film has a coach who makes a group of undisciplined players, into better people in high school.  He admits to them that education is more important than any game. I completely agree with his message. Basketball is a game and is meant to be fun but you need to be disciplined in order to succeed, in the gym or in the world.
